Hey there <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

Before I say anything, I really like this picture, it is beatiful.

The contrast you made with the black and white between the trees and the background and the character+foliage in the foreground is totally great.
I think you depicted the foliage very well. I love how naive and simple it looks.
It has a certain charm to it. Also how the character is drawn, and how it connects with all the plants, very cool.

Everything is coherent, well composed.

However I think there are a few things to point out.
I think using that soft grey brush to add in those few shadows was unnecessary, they seem out of place. Better to just keep it totally black&white or if you add some grey, then make it similarly sharp as the black and white, use one flat color.

But as I said, I think the grey there is unnecessary. A much more interesting solution would be to vary the thickness of the lines at certain points, and play with that to bring out the forms. With using only black and white + different line thickness you can create nice contrasts and 3D feels <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh, I really like the picture, its very cool.

I hope I helped a little with this critique<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> Keep up the good work ^^
